We often take for granted where we are living and the enviornments around us. A few Sundays ago the boys and I headed downtown for Brunch and wondering around Shockoe Slip. We had a fun adventure. It was a most peacful day and a great time with the men I love. I tend to forget how amazing these moments can be. A few things that stick out about this most amazing day:
Kai was bound and determined to pick up litter every where we went. He was getting so frustrated with the amount of trash and newspaper he kept finding. Its these little things that leave big impressions on me when it comes to Kai. He may be a little kid but he has the biggest heart I have ever seen. There was a family outside of Shockoe Espresso just hanging out with us waiting for a tour and they were in awe of Kai. One of them was even so kind as to reward Kai for all of his hard cleanup work with a high five and a handfull of chocolate covered espresso beans… Kai loved them, boy after my own heart (ya, THANKS DUDE).
John and Kai went leaf exploring and came back with some amazing finds and pictures. I love watching the two of them together. They have this amazing bond that I must admit I am a tad jealous of. They excite and challenge one another and its so neat to see.
This was a truely blessed and amazing day.
